Roasted Maitake Mushroom

Roasting mushrooms is one of the easiest yummy ways to cook mushrooms. If you are a vegan or a vegetarian this is a great hearty mushroom. We use this recipe to switch up our Cornish Hen and stuffing recipe so that you can have another option. For a full meal you can make our maitake stuffing, maitake gravy and maitake green bean casserole.

Cooking Instructions

  • 1.Cut out the middle of the mitake mushroom to make a bowl shape in the middle (be careful to not split the maitke mushroom)
  • 2.In a small bowl combine garlic salt and Cracked pepper, then evenly coat both Mushrooms.
  • 3.Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over mushrooms just to coat.
  • 4.Take mushrooms and place in foil to make a steam bag.
  • 5.Place in oven @ 375 degrees and cook for 15 minutes.
  • 6.Once cooked take mushrooms out of foil very carefully not to split the mushroom.
  • 7.Then in the middle of the mushroom bowl you can add a cup of stuffing and pour gravy over it then serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 – 10oz Maitake mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper
  • Olive oil
