Each Ready-to-Grow mushroom block has been infused with reishi mushroom culture and is ready to begin fruiting upon receipt. Some may actually be sprouting reishi antlers prior to arrival!

This kit will produce healthy reishi mushrooms right on the kitchen counter. The mushroom will continue to grow in the branching antler-like form even if the bag is never opened. So easy to grow, it kind of does it on its own! Reishi is a slow growing mushroom species, and will form differently depending on the level and amount of fresh air exchange available.

You can promote the traditional conk-like growth found in wild Ganoderma lucidum by exposing the growing mushrooms to more frequent air exchange. Cut off and remove the excess portion of bag material above the top of the grow block. Place the exposed reishi block in the supplied humidity tent, or arger humidity chamber. Mushrooms will continue to grow slowly, enjoy your own private mushroom bonsai! This kit is ideal for beginners.

Blocks will produce mushrooms over the course of 1-2 months, depending on care. Mushrooms may be harvested and dried whenever desired. Mature conk mushrooms are ready to harvest as soon as you notice the first signs of spore deposits. Spores will form and be released from small pores on the underside of the mushroom conk. When the spore deposits are first noted, it is generally time to harvest.
