Use cheese wax to seal and protect plug spawn inoculation sites. Apply melted wax with a stiff brush or drip on with a turkey baster or 10cc syringe.

Available in one pound blocks. Each block should seal inoculation sites for five to ten logs.

Cheese wax melts easily in a double boiler, please exercise extreme caution when working with hot wax.

We use a small 2.5 quart crock pot dedicated to the purpose of melting and storing our cheese wax between plug spawn inoculation sessions. Highly recommended for anyone processing many logs at a time.
