Often described as firm and meaty, we find the pioppino mushroom has a desirable sweet nutty flavor. It combines well in pasta, risotto, and meat dishes. Use anytime "wild mushrooms" are called for and you won't regret it.
These kits will produce a single flush of tastey pioppino mushrooms. Once the initial harvest is collected, the grow block can be buried outdoors in a shaded location to encourage additional mushroom production.
The pioppino is a highly prized wild mushroom found primarily on or around poplar trees, however it is also easy to cultivate at home using this grow kit. It can also be grown in the garden from mushrooms logs, or create your own mushroom logs at home using our plug spawn.
