This very tasty mushroom grows well highly variable climates like we have here in Tennessee. Phoenix Tail Oysters are an adaptable species that fruits easily on a wide range of substrates and are great candidates for stock oyster mushroom production or for recycling wood and paper waste into edible mushrooms.
If you are interested in block production for your mushroom business give us a call. We would love to spawn some Phoenix Tail Blocks for you.
As with all oyster mushrooms, phoenix Tail oysters need plenty of fresh air to develop normally. High carbon dioxide levels from mushroom metabolism will accumulate in sealed growing environments and can reduce cap size and elongate stems severely.Fruiting in open humidity chambers with frequent fresh air exchange will produce best possible yields.
*Note: Culture supplied as living mycelium in a test tube slant. Culture can be stored under refrigeration for several months. Slants are best suited for long distance travel, international shipments, or long term culture storage. Plate requests will usually ship within 1-2 days. Slant requests are made to order, please allow 2-4 weeks for processing and shipment.
